In the fall of 2015, we opened Serenity at Summit New England, a clinical stabilization and detox facility, helping clients seamlessly transition from detox treatment into clinical stabilization services (CSS) treatment without ever leaving the building. The beautiful new Haverhill, MA location is Serenity at Summit’s sixth facility across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts.
Serenity at Summit’s New England location provides client-focused clinical and medical care to those who struggle with substance abuse, an approach that is evident throughout our six facilities. Men and women 18 years and older who suffer from an addiction to drugs or alcohol are eligible for CSS at our Massachusetts facility.
Our medical and clinical staff is trained in diagnosing and treating co-occurring disorders (anxiety, depression, etc.) throughout the duration of a client’s clinical stabilization services.
The client’s inpatient clinical stabilization services begin with a full clinical and medical evaluation performed within 24 hours after admission.
During this time, our team strives to better understand the client’s background, history of substance abuse, mental health status, and similar considerations during this first step.
If our clinical professionals diagnose the client with a co-occurring disorder during the evaluation process, then the treatment plan will be altered to treat both the mental illness and the addiction simultaneously.
Depending on the nature of the addiction, the client may then undergo 5-7 days of medically-supervised acute treatment services (ATS) after the assessment. Like detox, ATS serves to purge the body of toxins related to the drug or alcohol addiction. Our medical team aims to make this process as comfortable as possible by managing and mitigating withdrawal symptoms. ATS is just the first step in our comprehensive substance abuse rehab program in Massachusetts.
According to the results of the client’s initial assessment, an individualized treatment plan will be mapped out by our medical and clinical team. You may also choose to incorporate a variety of optional holistic therapies that will help restore the mind, body, and spirit of each client during his or her stay. Some of those activities include:
Even after you graduate from our CSS program in Massachusetts, we provide you with the resources to continue your recovery success. We’ll look to see if you live near one of our Summit Intensive Outpatient (IOP) facilities and can stay plugged into the recovery community by continuing treatment there. We also keep the communication lines open with you and your recovery specialists to ensure your recovery remains on track long after the clinical stabilization service program has ended. When you reach out to Serenity at Summit for substance abuse rehab care, you get a life-long guide along your path to recovery.
